    Job Title: Environmental Inspector

    Location: New Jersey

    Duration: Approximately 6 months (Start: late September 2026)



    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Environmental Inspectors to support construction activities on a 3.4-mile, 26-inch-diameter pipeline loop project in New Jersey. The Environmental Inspectors will monitor compliance with environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and project standards throughout construction.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor construction activities for compliance with FERC conditions, state and federal environmental permits, and the project's Environmental Construction Plan
    • Inspect erosion and sediment control (E&SC) measures, ensuring proper installation and maintenance
    • Monitor wetland, waterbody, and riparian crossings during construction and restoration
    • Document daily environmental inspection activities, including photographs and compliance logs
    • Identify and report environmental non-compliance issues to construction and environmental leads; recommend corrective actions
    • Coordinate with agency inspectors (state DEP, Army Corps of Engineers) during site visits
    • Monitor stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) implementation
    • Oversee restoration activities including seeding, mulching, and site stabilization
    • Maintain accurate daily inspection reports and environmental compliance documentation
    • Support spill prevention and response protocols as needed


    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2–5 years of environmental inspection experience on pipeline or heavy civil construction projects
    • Working knowledge of FERC procedures, Clean Water Act (Section 401/404), and NJDEP regulations
    • Familiarity with erosion/sediment control best management practices
    • Experience with wetland and waterbody crossing monitoring preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear daily reports
    • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
    • Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
    • Prior experience on midstream/interstate pipeline projects strongly preferred
