The State Hygienic Laboratory in Ankeny, IA is looking for an Environmental Lab Analyst, within the Limnology Section of the Environmental Health Division. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform whole effluent toxicity testing and inorganic chemical analysis. This position will follow approved methods to perform specific conductivity, total hardness, total alkalinity, total residual chlorine, and other analyses. This position will also maintain cultures of Pimephales promelas and Ceriodaphnia dubia for whole effluent toxicity testing and perform whole effluent toxicity testing following EPA methods and State of Iowa guidelines.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Occasional weekend work possible.
