Job Title: Environmental Laboratory Analyst 1
Job Location: Atlanta GA 30339

Contract: 3 months contract onsite

Shift: 8am - 4:30pm, Overtime may be needed sporadically, but it s uncommon.

Job Summary:

An Environmental Laboratory Analyst is responsible for testing of environmental samples to determine the presence of pollutants and other contaminants.
They analyze samples using specialized equipment and techniques.
They play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Sample Preparation: Logging in, apportioning, weighing, spiking and preparing samples for instrumental analysis.

Emergency Response: Knowledge of emergency response plans for environmental incidents, spills, and accidents.

Environmental Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation required for environmental compliance and reporting.

Shipping & Receiving: Receiving customer samples, testing samples for receipt compliance, logging samples in, preparing sample kits for customers.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences or Associate s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Environmental Sciences

Experience: entry level position.

Technical Skills: Use of analytical balances, pipetting, dispensing, measuring volumes, laboratory safety and rudimentary laboratory skills.

Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information and compliance requirements.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex environmental challenges and recommend innovative solutions.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in environmental documentation and regulatory compliance.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve environmental goals.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking to assess environmental data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
