Environmental & Land Use Senior Associate Attorney

Compensation

$310,000 – $420,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Senior Environmental & Land Use Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising developers, energy companies, utilities, infrastructure sponsors, manufacturers, and Fortune 500 companies on sophisticated environmental, permitting, regulatory, and land use matters.

Ideal Background

5+ years of environmental, land use, natural resources, or regulatory experience gained at a sophisticated law firm or government agency

• Experience advising clients regarding federal and state environmental laws, permitting, compliance, enforcement, and regulatory matters

• Experience with NEPA, the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, CERCLA, RCRA, the Endangered Species Act, and other environmental statutes is preferred

• Experience handling land use, zoning, permitting, environmental due diligence, and project development matters

• Experience representing developers, utilities, renewable energy companies, infrastructure sponsors, manufacturers, industrial companies, and real estate clients

• Experience supporting energy, infrastructure, commercial development, or large-scale real estate projects

• Experience working with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
