Environmental Liability Baseline Plan Consultant (SME)

This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award. S&K Federal Services, LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Environmental Liability/Baseline Planning Consultant to assist the Department of Energy (DOE) to bridge the gap between environmental science, federal compliance, and financial project management. They ensure the laboratory accurately forecasts, tracks, and mitigates the massive lifecycle costs and legal risks associated with legacy nuclear contamination, active waste management, and ongoing scientific operations. This position is on site at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A sample of duties includes, but is not limited to:

• Serve as resource for high-level site environmental liability estimate reporting and baseline planning consultation.
• Work closely with executives and project managers to advise on completion of tasks and deliverables.
• Coordinate and perform a range of operational support activities including consulting on the site baseline planning and execution.
• Serve as a liaison with other EM offices and DOE organizations in the resolution of environmental liability reporting to EM HQ.
• Work independently or within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
• Independently manage special assignments as directed.
• Schedule, organize and manage complex activities; compile and prepare reports.
• Manage electronic records and data.
• Experience shall include a minimum of five years of direct experience providing project management and planning of a site environmental liability estimate and baseline planning and execution.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling applications, Microsoft Office suite applications including SharePoint and M365, Environmental Management Information System (EMIS), and One Enterprise Management System (OEMS) are required. Government experience preferred

Education

• Associate's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Combination of Education and Experience as described above. Education and experience may be substituted for each other. Each year of experience may be substituted for 1 year of education, and vice versa. Additional certifications, professional licenses and vocational technical training may be substituted for experience and education.

License

• Current driver's license for security clearance
