Environmental Monitoring Associate - Quality Control

An environmental quality organization is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Associate, QC in Bedford, MA. This role supports controlled manufacturing operations by performing environmental monitoring, utility sampling, documentation, and microbial enumeration in a GMP-regulated setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift

• Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday

• Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Setting: On-site

Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental monitoring tasks for aseptic and controlled areas, as well as plant utility systems, following SOPs and GMP documentation.

• Collect environmental monitoring samples and utility samples, including Water for Injection, clean steam, and compressed gases.

• Incubate and enumerate microbial growth on environmental monitoring plates.

• Document results in LIMS, logbooks, and standard laboratory records using good documentation practices.

• Support laboratory operations through cleaning, equipment preparation, task handover communications, and collaboration with manufacturing and facilities teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with no experience, associate degree with 2+ years of experience, or high school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience.

• Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic math and computer skills, including data entry, with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to organise work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and meet objectives in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with environmental monitoring, microbiology, or quality control in a GMP-regulated environment.

• Familiarity with LIMS and laboratory documentation systems.

• Exposure to cleanroom, aseptic, or controlled manufacturing environments.
