Environmental Operator

Basic Job Functions:

The position of Environmental Operator will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of water and/or baghouse systems while working closley with the Maintenance, Hot Mill, Melt Shop, NCC, and Cold Mill teams. This is a rotating shift position (days and nights) and reports directly to the Environmental Leads and Supervisors.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years Nucor experience or experience with steel mill water treatment or baghouse operations
• High school degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Municipal wastewater treatment experience
• Industrial wastewater treatment experience
• Pollution control experience
• Mechanical Maintenance experience
