The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is currently recruiting an Environmental Planner to provide environmental support for transportation projects. This position is located at our District 1 offices in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The incumbent in this position will work as a member of a team of environmental and engineering professionals to deliver highway, bridge, and other transportation construction projects in Idaho. This position will focus on completing the environmental processes required to deliver and construct state-wide projects.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Good knowledge of:
Environmental concepts and planning techniques and impacts associated with transportation project location, design, construction and maintenance
Environmental design principles
Mitigation methods
Some knowledge of:
Engineering concepts related to environmental plans
Federal regulations and statutory requirements for environmental documentation
Experience:
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
Writing technical reports
Preparing and making presentations of technical findings
