The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the term position (up to 12 months) of Environmental Professional within the Environment & Climate Change Division of Property, Fleet and Environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Clean Energy, the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the adoption of renewable and clean energy technologies within our organization and community through policy, projects and programs. More specifically, this role will lead the annual greenhouse gas emissions inventory process, including data collection, emissions calculations, quality assurance, and reporting. Additionally, the role will support the administration of a Deep Energy Retrofit Program. We are at a critical junction in climate change action, and are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced individual to join our team.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Flex options to work outside these hours under a hybrid work model may be available).
SALARY: Level 10, NSGEU 222 $45.38 per hour.
WORK LOCATION: 3rd Floor, 88 Alderney Ferry Terminal, Dartmouth.
