Responsibilities

The Environmental Professional (Part-Time) supports environmental projects through technical execution, project coordination, and client service activities on a part-time or flexible basis. This role performs field and office-based tasks, including testing, reporting, and project support, while developing technical and project management skills. The Environmental Professional contributes to project delivery and client interaction while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Supports management of environmental projects through field and office-based activities
  • Reviews field reports and supports documentation accuracy and completeness
  • Assists with project coordination, scheduling, and communication
  • Monitors project progress for performance and budget considerations
  • Prepares invoices, proposals, and project-related documentation
  • Supports marketing and business development activities
  • Attends project meetings and assists with resolution of technical and administrative issues
  • Provides general technical and administrative support as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 0 years of related experience

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting is preferred

  • Obtain and/or maintain licensure or certifications applicable to the work performed or managed

  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

  • Basic knowledge of environmental principles

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Developing project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Basic understanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and test methods

Military Qualifications

  • The following US Military ranks would qualify for this position:
  • E-4/E-5

The expected pay range for this role and location is $110-$125/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
