The Opportunity:
Tech2 Solutions (T2S) is a critical subcontractor on the N3B Los Alamos LLC team and will be providing program management and technical services in support of the ground & surface water monitoring program at the U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory. T2S, under the N3B Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC), is currently adding an Environmental Professional (Surface Water Monitoring Team) to support stormwater and site-specific control measure monitoring as required by the LANL NPDES Storm Water Individual Permit - NM0030759. The Permit contains nonnumeric technology based effluent limitations, coupled with a comprehensive, coordinated inspection and monitoring program, to minimize pollutants in storm water discharges associated with historical industrial activities at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Additional responsibilities will include sampling and monitoring of a MSGP program.
The Environmental Professional will provide field oversight to meet NPDES Permit and MSGP regulatory requirements and completion of field work activities. Field work may include collection of stormwater samples and completion of sample paperwork; installation and maintenance of sampling equipment; stormwater control and best management practices installations, inspections and maintenance; site inspections and documentation including completion of required electronic forms and data entry; and coordination with project staff and supporting T2S subcontractors.
The Environmental Professional will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety and security an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to pause or stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
