Job Specifications

Join Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure in a role that supports the Citys commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence. This position offers the opportunity to apply your environmental compliance expertise while contributing to the reliable operation and continuous improvement of the Citys Wastewater Operations.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead environmental compliance efforts that support the safe, reliable, and responsible operation of the Citys Wastewater Operations.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with permits, reporting requirements, inspections, audits, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and continuously improve the Environmental Management System (EMS), including certification activities, audits, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, evaluate operational impacts, and work collaboratively with internal teams to implement effective compliance strategies and process improvements.
  • Support a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement by providing guidance, training, and technical expertise across the organization.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in biological, chemical, physical, or environmental science, engineering or geology or a related field; AND
  • Three (3) years of professional experience that includes environmental regulatory compliance.

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Valid Class E State drivers license (or equivalent) at the time of hire.

Salary Range

$29.0888 to $78.9348/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $53.1626/hour
