Job Description

Atlas is hiring an Environmental Project Manager to support and help lead subsurface investigation and remediation work in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In this role, you’ll contribute across the full project life cycle—supporting proposals, technical execution, reporting, invoicing, client relationships, and project delivery. This is a strong fit for an experienced environmental consulting professional who brings sound technical judgment, values safe execution, and enjoys helping clients solve complex environmental challenges. The role is based in Fridley, MN and supports Atlas’s Environmental Management / Remediation practice.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and support subsurface investigation projects across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including proposal support, technical execution, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Manage work related to due diligence, site investigation and characterization, remediation, and related environmental consulting services.
  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports by compiling, interpreting, and evaluating data against state and federal environmental standards.
  • Partner with operations and client teams to support existing clients, build relationships, and grow services responsibly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, service partners, and contractors to deliver high-quality work and a strong client experience.
  • Help strengthen a safety-first culture through proactive planning, quality review, and consistent field and project oversight.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Soil Science, Geology, Engineering, Geography, or another applied science field.
  • At least 15 years of environmental consulting experience that includes project management, client support, field work, data evaluation, technical writing, and QA/QC.
  • Working knowledge of due diligence, site investigation, and remediation methods and workflows.
  • Experience leading projects, supporting clients, and balancing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality in both field and office settings.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound scientific judgment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, plus the ability to pass a drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
