Tetra Tech is looking for a part-time Environmental Science or Engineering Intern based in Chicago, IL.
Position Summary
We are seeking an environmental science or engineering intern to learn the general principles of environmental consulting and develop skills related to their program of study. The candidate will work part-time during the summer and will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of areas in environmental consulting, including contaminated site assessment and remediation, natural resource management, emergency and disaster response, Brownfield redevelopment, environmental compliance, and waste management. Specific tasks include records review, data management and organization, data analysis, and report writing and compilation. Opportunities for field work support are also provided, such as environmental site assessments, multi-media sampling, and facility audits and inspections.

Required Qualifications
Enrollment in an undergraduate environmental science or civil/environmental engineering degree program.
0-1 years of experience.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel preferred.

Additional Information (REQUIRED)
This part-time position requires roughly 25% travel.
Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Work will be performed in the office and field.
Driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

The rate of pay for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
