Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Environmental Scientist I, we''ll count on you to:
Preferred Qualifications
Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, research, and communication (both written and verbal) skills
Masters degree in environmental sciences or closely related field
1 year of experience conducting environmental field surveys such as wetland delineations or protected species surveys
Working knowledge of federal environmental regulations, such as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (Sections 404 and 401), Endangered Species Act (Section 7)
Experience working with state regulations and agencies (such as TxDOT, TCEQ and TPWD or equivalent agencies from other states or territories)
Experience supporting environmental reports, documents, worksheets, and/or forms, such as but not limited to wetland delineation forms,
NEPA documents (categorical exclusions and environmental assessments), habitat assessments, USACE permitting, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
