Job Description

Media-area specialist responsible for owning a compliance program element (e.g., air, hazardous waste, stormwater/wastewater, or POL/SPCC) and producing regulatory deliverables.

Responsibilities: Serve as the lead for an assigned media area; prepare permit applications, renewals, and regulatory reports (e.g., emissions inventories, biennial/annual waste reports, stormwater/SWPPP reports).- Interpret regulatory requirements (MDE, VDEQ, EPA, WSSC, USFWS/NOAA) and translate them into site actions.- Review and quality-check the work of Environmental Scientist 1/2 staff.- Manage program records, tracking, and system-of-record submissions; support internal and regulatory audits.- Coordinate with vendors, laboratories, and transporters for the assigned program area. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated program ownership.
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline (Master’s a plus).
  • Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
  • Certification Requirements: 40-hour HAZWOPER; relevant professional certification (e.g., CHMM) preferred.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000

The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
