Job Summary
The Environmental Service Technician Registry is responsible for cleaning the assigned areas throughout the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital. Applies the 10-Step cleaning process utilizing approved cleaning equipment, chemicals, supplies, and methods to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for patients, guests, and staff. Provides a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission and values of Cook County Health & Hospitals System (CCHHS).
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States'' territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Original credentialing documents must be presented at time of interview.
