Summary Under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor and according to established procedures, is responsible for performing housekeeping duties. Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments and performing a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.

Education High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience General hospital-related housekeeping experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of cleaning products and ability to follow instructions on containers, materials, and cleaning equipment.
  • Health and safety practices.
  • Ability to utilize proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to use industrial powered equipment.
  • Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills, and age of customers.
