Compensation:

Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.70 per hour

Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Responsibilities:

Position Overview: 

The Environmental Services(EVS) Tech I maintains a clean, sanitary and safe environment in all areas of the hospital in accordance with Community Memorial Healthcare quality standards, as well as local, state and federal regulations.

 

***EVS TECH I COVID-19 JOB RESPONSIBILITY NOTICE***

An essential daily job responsibility of an EVS Tech I is cleaning patient rooms throughout the hospital, including the possibility of cleaning COVID-19 patient rooms and/or having contact with COVID-19.

 

As Community Memorial Healthcare takes employee health and safety seriously, the EVS Department provides Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (masks, gloves, etc.), along with education and training for all EVS Techs to help keep hospital employees, patients, and the community safe.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ability to follow written and oral directions in English 
  • Ability to understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS), pertaining to the use and handling of chemicals
  • Ability to interact with patents, customers, co-workers and physicians in a courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial or related experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
