Duration: Temporary Assignment | Initial 26-Week Assignment with Potential Extension Based on Business Needs
Location: 3000 MacCorkle Avenue SE, Charleston, WV 25304
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Saturday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Frequent Overtime Required (Shifts may extend until 5:00 PM)
Responsibilities:
Sort soiled linens for healthcare facilities and contracted clients according to established production standards.
Maintain production output that meets or exceeds department expectations.
Assist with laundry production operations to ensure adequate linen supply for patient care and facility needs.
Follow all workplace safety, health, and operational procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Demonstrate flexibility to support various laundry production and distribution functions as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
Comply with attendance, scheduling, overtime, and departmental policies.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 8th grade education with the ability to read and write.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move linen carts and bags throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in a hot industrial laundry environment.
Strong attendance and reliability.
Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules with little notice.
Ability to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs.
Reliable transportation to the worksite.
Ability to commit to the initial 26-week assignment duration.
Preferred Skills:
Minimum 6 months of recent experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), distribution, or other physically demanding work environments preferred.
Candidates with demonstrated reliability and attendance in labor-intensive roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
