Summary:

  • Work Mode: Onsite
  • Location: 3000 MacCorkle Avenue SE, Charleston, WV 25304
  • Duration: Initial 26-Week Assignment with Potential Extension Based on Business Needs
  • Full-Time | Monday-Saturday | Start Time: 7:00 AM
  • Candidates must be available to work up to 12-hour shifts.
  • Daily end times are determined by the department's linen production requirements and staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort soiled linens for healthcare facilities and contracted clients according to established production standards.
  • Maintain production output that meets or exceeds department expectations.
  • Assist with laundry production operations to ensure an adequate linen supply for patient care and facility needs.
  • Follow all workplace safety, health, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support various laundry production and distribution functions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
  • Comply with attendance, scheduling, overtime, and departmental policies.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8th grade education. Ability to read and write.
  • Minimum 6 months of recent experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), distribution, or other physically demanding work environments preferred.
  • Ability to follow production standards and work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move linen carts and bags throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a hot industrial laundry environment.
  • Strong attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime on short notice, including shifts extending well beyond the scheduled end time based on daily production needs.
  • Reliable transportation with flexibility for variable end times.
  • Ability to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs.
  • Ability to commit to the initial 26-week assignment.
