Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking Environmental Services Shift Leaders to join our growing organization. This role will partner closely with a team of talented managers to support sanitation and custodial operations within the VA healthcare system.

Shift Availability:
Multiple shifts available based on operational needs, including evening, overnight, and weekend schedules.

Pay Range:
$27–32/hour depending on experience


Key Responsibilities (What you will do)

  • Lead and support Environmental Service Technicians (EVS) during assigned shifts
  • Ensure sanitation and custodial services are completed in accordance with healthcare cleaning standards
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, and operational coverage
  • Coordinate response to sanitation, safety, or operational concerns
  • Assist with shift scheduling, coverage coordination, and staffing communication
  • Conduct quality inspections and support quality control procedures
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, microfiber systems, and safety signage
  • Support infection prevention and healthcare sanitation standards
  • Communicate operational issues, deficiencies, or urgent concerns to management promptly
  • Assist with onboarding support and day-to-day staff guidance
  • Maintain professional communication with management and facility personnel
  • Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and compliant with operational standards

Required Skills

  • Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping, EVS, custodial, sanitation, or janitorial leadership experience preferred
  • Hospital or healthcare environmental services experience strongly preferred
  • Experience overseeing teams in fast-paced operational environments preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to operational needs quickly
  • Strong attendance, professionalism, and reliability required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, push carts, and perform physical tasks throughout shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must pass federal background screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements before starting employment

  • Federal contractor position supporting the VA healthcare system
  • Candidates cannot begin work until onboarding and background adjudication are completed

  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on operational needs
  • Healthcare sanitation and infection prevention training provided

Salary is commensurate with experience.
