Ebenezer is looking for an Environmental Services Supervisor who monitors preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment. Supervises and trains housekeeping staff. *This position is for communities that have additional oversight and support through a Campus or Corporate support.

This schedule includes:

  • 80 hours every two weeks
  • Day shift: M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and maintenance of a Preventative Maintenance Program, repairs and maintains physical structure and grounds. This includes the following:
  • Repairs items found deficient by maintenance or requested by work orders.
  • Facilitates maintenance and repair of the buildings utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Establishes and follows Preventative Maintenance Program utilizing an electronic work management platform or CMMS.
  • Changes filters and check belts on air handle units.
  • Checks kitchen equipment.
  • Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc.
  • Maintains shop in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Removes snow from sidewalks and walkways and uses ice melt on sidewalks as needed.
  • Trims around bushes, trees, and sidewalks.
  • Keeps grounds safe and looking neat and attractive.
  • Supervises housekeeping staff:
  • Provides clear and concise work direction.
  • Trains and provides ongoing support to staff.
  • Manages staff performance and provides appropriate feedback.
  • Maintains housekeeping schedule.
  • Conducts performance reviews.
  • Maintains and orders inventory of supplies.
  • Performs housekeeping duties as needed:
  • Completes cleaning duties on the daily assignment sheet including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, sinks, etc.
  • Performs deep room cleans.
  • Provides 24/7 emergency On-Call response for the entire campus per rotating schedule.
  • Ensures timely and efficient turnover of apartments:
  • Communicates effectively with team to discuss needs.
  • Performs and/or coordinates painting, cleaning, carpeting and apartment updates.
  • Keeps Executive Director current on stats of apartment turnover and needs.
  • Promotes a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors:
  • Identifies concerns through regular inspection of building and grounds.
  • Conducts and tracks community emergency drills.
  • Implements fire safety practices and procedures in adherence to NFPA code.
  • Responsible for Ebenezer van/bus maintenance and upkeep:
  • Reviews and completes Vehicle Requirements
  • Maintains a log of transportation services and schedules regular and required maintenance on bus/van to keep it in optimal condition.
  • Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services.
  • Follows all laws with regard to operating a motor vehicle.
  • Immediately reports any traffic violations or accidents.


Required Qualifications

  • less than 1 year None to 1 Year
  • Organizational skills and attention to accuracy & detail
  • High level of customer services and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be on call at least 50% of non-scheduled work time each month
  • Drivers License Current Driver’s License (in good standing)
  • Medical Exam Certification
  • Must be at least 18-years old
  • Must be insurable under the employers Auto Insurance Coverage
  • Must complete and pass in-house transportation curriculum course and pass driving evaluation. within 30 Days

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate of Applied Science Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree – Industrial energy or related field
  • 3 years Three to Five Years
  • Ability to use MS Office software (Word, Excel)
  • Special Boiler License
  • Class 2-C Boiler Boilers License 2-C
