POSITION SUMMARY

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as an Environmental Services Supervisor for the DuPage County Facilities Management Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepares staff schedules and determines daily work assignments
  • Supervises the work of housekeeping and laundry staff
  • Monitors attendance
  • Inspects the work of subordinate staff using a hand held computer to ensure compliance with standards and provides feedback regarding quality of work
  • Plans and coordinates the project work schedule
  • Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
  • Completes employee performance appraisals
  • Investigates and resolves client complaints or concerns
  • Identifies areas for improvement within the department
  • Researches alternatives and makes recommendations to the Environmental Services Manager
  • Requisitions and issues supplies and equipment
  • Keeps an inventory of equipment and supplies on hand
  • Reports maintenance and repairs
  • Assists with special reports
  • Plans for, develops and conducts in-service programs
  • Maintains accurate records
  • Interacts with residents

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Requirements include the following experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Four (4) years of housekeeping, laundry or custodial experience in a large commercial or institutional environment
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Must possess and maintain in good standing, a valid Illinois driver's license

A post-offer physical is required

A pre-employment background check is required

The work will occur in an office and field environment.
