Environmental Services Tech - Evening

The EVS Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position performs routine and heavy housekeeping duties in patient care and non-patient care areas while following infection prevention and safety standards. Flexibility to assist with laundry services as needed is required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.

• Complete discharge cleaning of patient rooms and post-maintenance cleanup.

• Safely handle trash, biohazardous waste, soiled linens, and cleaning chemicals.

• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and chemical handling procedures.

• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked housekeeping carts and equipment.

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

• Work collaboratively with team members and other hospital departments.

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.

• Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current automobile insurance.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Previous commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience.
