Environmental Services Tech - Full Time - 3PM to 11PM

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Environmental Services, the Environmental Service Technician is an active member of the EVS team delivering professional cleaning services consistent with the strategic vision, goals, and standards of the Environmental Services Department and CRHS. This role performs routine cleaning of patient rooms and CRHS common areas following established schedules and prescribed methods.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: Up to three months of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience
• Licensure/Certifications: None required

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning in assigned areas following established schedules and prescribed methods
• Ensures patient rooms and common areas are cleaned to established standards
• Cleans fixtures, walls, floors, vents, and lights per established schedules
• Performs basic floor care using dry/wet mops, floor scrubbers, and vacuums
• Empties trash from common areas and patient rooms on a prescribed cycle
• Removes medical waste and bio-hazardous trash per established safety, containment, and infection control procedures
• Responds to STAT cleaning requests from nursing/medical staff
• Assists with setup for special events, meetings, and training programs per work orders
• Moves furniture as requested per work orders
• Assists with cleaning emergency spills as observed or requested
• Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness; reports repair needs
• Observes and reports needed repairs to equipment, furniture, buildings, and fixtures
• Cleans elevator floors and door tracks daily
• Promotes teamwork; communicates and reports concerns to management
