    Role Description The Environmental Services Technician in the Housekeeping department is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital. This full-time, second-shift, on-site role is located in Fort Worth, TX, and includes cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and clinical areas according to established hospital protocols. Daily tasks involve dusting, mopping, vacuuming, removing trash and biohazard waste, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and restocking supplies. The technician follows infection control and safety procedures, properly uses cleaning chemicals and equipment, and reports any maintenance or safety issues. The role also requires working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff, responding to urgent cleaning requests, and supporting a positive experience for patients and visitors.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial work, or a similar role in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial facilities.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, safe chemical handling, and use of cleaning equipment such as floor machines, vacuums, and carts.
    • \n
    • Understanding of infection control practices, standard precautions, and safe handling of trash and biohazard materials (training provided if needed).
    • \n
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, adhere to cleaning schedules, and complete assigned tasks with attention to detail.
    • \n
    • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods, and to move equipment and supplies as required.
    • \n
    • Strong reliability, time management, and teamwork skills, with a professional and respectful approach to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
    • \n
    • Willingness to work second shift, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to adapt to changing priorities in a hospital environment.
    • \n
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in a hospital or medical setting is beneficial but not required.
