Job Description
- A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.
- The Level 1 Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.
- This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary.
- Qualifications include familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes;experience operating power boats and watercraft;ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects;capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills;effective communication abilities;and attention to detail.
