This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is technically oriented and who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

JOB PURPOSE

Administers the organizations environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the accurate submission of all required federal, state, and local environmental permits and related reports, including Title V, RCRA, DOT, and stormwater management requirements.
  • Collect, maintain, and organize regulatory compliance records.
  • Maintain throughput emissions data within the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Monitor and evaluate pending legislation and regulatory changes to determine potential impacts on the company.
  • Manage the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP).
  • Assist the EHS Department with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) reviews for new materials.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste pickups and maintain all required manifest documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Competencies, and Education

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) or more years of manufacturing environmental compliance preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the employee to perform the following physical activities, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Occasional lifting, climbing, and stooping.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires the employee to work effectively in an environment that includes:

  • Office settings.
  • Manufacturing facilities.
  • Exposure to resins, fiberglass, and other chemicals.
