Environmental Services Technician - PACU (Full-Time, Third Shift) Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician I to help us maintain the safe, clean, and healing environment our patients and families deserve. As part of our Environmental Services team, you play a vital role in infection prevention, patient experience, and the overall quality of care delivered at one of the nation's leading women's hospitals. Position Details Job Title: Environmental Services Technician I Location: Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies Address: 83 W Miller St, Orlando, FL 32806 Department: WPH Environmental Services Schedule: Full-Time Shift: Third Shift - Monday-Friday, 8:00 PM-4:30 AM About the Role The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for performing daily cleaning and disinfection duties that support patient safety, infection prevention, and efficient room turnover. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of environmental hygiene throughout the hospital. Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using approved procedures and chemicals. Support patient throughput by ensuring timely room turnover for admissions and discharges. Remove biomedical waste, trash, and soiled linens; replenish supplies as needed. Operate UV disinfection equipment when required. Follow all infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE use and isolation precautions. Utilize department technology systems such as Bed Management. Report unsafe conditions and submit Engineering Service Requests. Maintain compliance with Orlando Health safety, risk management, and HIPAA standards. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
