Join Orlando Health's Environmental Services team and help create a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members. As an Environmental Technician I, you will play a critical role in infection prevention, patient satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout our healthcare facilities.

 

What You'll Do

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, public areas, and other assigned spaces
  • Support patient throughput by completing timely room turnovers for admissions and discharges
  • Remove trash, soiled linen, and bio-medical waste
  • Replenish supplies and change curtains as needed
  • Operate cleaning equipment and UV disinfection machines
  • Follow infection prevention, PPE, and safety protocols
  • Utilize department technology systems, including Bed Management systems
  • Report maintenance and safety concerns
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
  • Support departmental quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Education

  • No minimum education requirement

Experience

  • No experience required
  • Experience in environmental services, hospitality, housekeeping, healthcare support services, or a related field is preferred

Licensure/Certification

  • None required
