Environmental Technician I – Weekender (Part-Time, 24 Hours)

Orlando Health | Orlando, FLShift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Schedule: Every weekend + one additional weekday

Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician I to join our Environmental Services team. In this essential role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Your work directly supports infection prevention, patient satisfaction, and the overall quality of care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas

  • Complete timely room turnovers to support patient admissions and discharges

  • Remove trash, soiled linen, and biomedical waste

  • Replenish supplies and replace privacy curtains

  • Operate cleaning equipment and UV disinfection machines

  • Follow PPE, safety, and infection prevention protocols

  • Utilize department technology systems, including Bed Management

  • Report maintenance or safety concerns

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff

  • Support departmental quality improvement initiatives

 

Qualifications

Education

  • No minimum education requirement

Experience

  • No experience required

  • Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare support preferred

Licensure/Certification

  • None required
