The pay range is $26/hr-$30/hr depending on experience and includes benefits, PTO and 401k.

Your Mission:

  • Assist in excavation, site prep, and cleanup activities at petroleum-related job sites, including UST/AST removals, spill sites, and remediation areas.

  • Support soil and groundwater sampling efforts by preparing sites, handling equipment, and following technician guidance.

  • Operate basic hand and power tools, pumps, hoses, vacuums, and remediation support equipment.

  • Load, unload, and organize materials, drums, contaminated soil, and debris in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Follow instructions to set up containment zones, decontamination areas, or temporary storage areas for hazardous materials.

  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of environmental control systems (e.g., air sparge, vapor extraction).

  • Follow strict safety procedures (PPE use, lockout/tagout, confined space protocols) and participate in job hazard analyses.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and vehicles at job sites and staging yards.

  • Support emergency spill response or site remediation efforts under the supervision of environmental technicians or foremen.

  • Complete daily logs, material tracking forms, and assist in documenting field activities.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 0–3 years of experience in construction, environmental services, or industrial labor roles — preferably involving petroleum or hazardous materials.

  • Familiarity with basic construction equipment, excavation tools, and manual labor practices.

  • Heavy equipment operator prefer excavator, dump truck, skid steer, front end loader. Any Hydro Excavator experience a plus.

  • Experience working on or around UST/AST systems, tank pulls, spill sites, or remediation projects is a plus.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

  • Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications such as OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, confined space entry, or First Aid/CPR.

  • Ability to take direction and follow strict environmental safety protocols.

  • Known for being reliable, safety-conscious, and hard-working, with a strong team-oriented attitude.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to regional job sites as needed.

  • Basic understanding of environmental regulations, site safety plans, or spill prevention measures is beneficial.

Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
