Environmental Services Technician I – Part Time (Second Shift)**

Shift: Second Shift — Every weekend + one additional weekday
Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
About the Role
The Environmental Services Technician I performs essential daily cleaning and disinfection duties that uphold hospital safety standards and support timely room turnover. This role is vital to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using approved procedures.
Support patient throughput by ensuring timely room turnover for admissions and discharges.
Remove biomedical waste, trash, and soiled linens; replenish supplies as needed.
Operate UV disinfection equipment when required.
Follow all infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE use and isolation precautions.
Utilize department technology systems such as Bed Management.
Report unsafe conditions and submit Engineering Service Requests.
Maintain compliance with Orlando Health safety, risk management, and HIPAA standards.
Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
