This position will sit in our Environmental Test Lab in Leander, TX.
SUMMARY
We are looking for an Environmental Test Technician III to join the Environmental Test Lab as part of the Advanced Materials department at Firefly Aerospace. You will apply your skill of utilizing thermal chambers, vibration tables, shock tables, and thermal-vacuum chambers to support design, manufacturing, and testing activities by the company.
The candidate must be a self-starter who works well in a team environment and has excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate will form an integral part of a team of engineers and technicians that will be a focal point for the company. The candidate will be expected to learn the testing processes, apply their knowledge, maintain good record-keeping, and have good working relationships with team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field preferred
2+ years of experience in environmental testing or a similar role
Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures
Ability to interpret and analyze test results
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills
Strong hands on testing experience (dynamic and thermal environments) in an environmental test lab or college lab.
Training and/or experience in basic operation of an oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering wires & connectors, wire stripping, ohm's law, continuity testing, drilling & tapping holes, torque wrenches, DC power supplies, tape measures.
Software/Computer Skills including Windows Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, lift 10-20 pounds regularly and 50-100 pounds occasionally.
