A premier global law firm is seeking an Environmental Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Denver office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising sophisticated clients on the environmental aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions across a wide range of industries.

Ideal Background

5–9 years of environmental transactions experience gained at a large or sophisticated law firm

• Experience conducting environmental due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions

• Experience preparing and presenting environmental due diligence reports and advising clients regarding environmental risks associated with transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating environmental provisions in purchase agreements, merger agreements, financing documents, and related transactional agreements

• Experience advising clients regarding environmental risk allocation, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance issues

• Experience counseling clients in connection with transactions involving industries such as industrial manufacturing, aerospace and defense, life sciences, energy, sports and entertainment, or other highly regulated sectors is preferred

• Working knowledge of major federal and state environmental statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act, is preferred

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and deal teams

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Colorado bar admission required or ability to become admitted
