Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced EPG Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and overhaul diesel and natural gas engines, generators, transfer switches, switchgear, and related power generation equipment. This is a field-based role requiring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair power generation equipment and engine systems.

+ Install, maintain, and service generators, transfer switches, and switchgear.

+ Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

+ Perform inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, and equipment commissioning.

+ Complete service reports, parts requests, and required documentation accurately and on time.

+ Maintain service truck, tools, and equipment.

+ Provide professional customer service and support.

+ Participate in after-hours and emergency service calls as needed.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

+ 3+ years of experience working on CAT engines, generators, or similar power generation equipment preferred.

+ Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V preferred.

+ Familiarity with CAT diagnostic software (SIS, CAT ET) or comparable systems is a plus.

+ Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.

+ Must maintain tools necessary to perform the job.

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

+ Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and use of hand and power tools.

+ Ability to lift and move equipment and components as required.

+ Must be able to use computers and mobile technology to complete documentation.
