The Epic HB Analyst is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing application. Collaborates with revenue cycle leadership, clinical departments, and IT teams to analyze business requirements, design system solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support billing operations. Ensures system functionality aligns with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and revenue cycle best practices while providing end-user support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Epic Resolute Hospital Billing workflows.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements.
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements.
  • Build, test, validate, and deploy Epic application enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot billing, claims, charging, reimbursement, and interface issues.
  • Support upgrades, optimizations, and new Epic implementations.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, HIM, clinical departments, and vendors.
  • Perform system testing, including unit, integrated, and regression testing.
  • Maintain documentation, build specifications, and change management records.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, payer, and organizational billing requirements.

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting hospital billing/patient financial services/revenue cycle operations OR Epic certification in Resolute HB/Resolute PB/Claims/Charging
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, particularly back-end workflows like billing and claims processing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • 2-5+ years of Epic application analyst experience in Resolute HB with a desire to expand into a Epic Charging certification
  • Prior involvement in Epic implementations or optimization projects
  • Experience with workflow analysis and system configuration
  • Experience with 3rd party system integration in the billing space (Waystar Clearinghouse for claims and remits, Solventum for GPCS, etc
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Proficient with MS Office tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Work Environment:

  • Remote or on-site based on organizational needs
  • May require off-hours support during go-lives, upgrades, or issue resolution
