Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacist Application Analyst to support the design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of healthcare applications. This role serves as a liaison between pharmacy operations, clinical teams, and information technology, ensuring applications are configured to support efficient and effective workflows.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong pharmacy background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to develop and support technology solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in application design, validation, and advanced design sessions.
  • Analyze departmental workflows and translate operational needs into system configurations.
  • Design, build, test, validate, and maintain assigned applications.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to develop future-state workflows.
  • Document test plans, testing outcomes, and system configurations.
  • Support end users during implementation and go-live activities.
  • Provide scheduled on-call support and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Review and test software upgrades, enhancements, and releases before deployment.
  • Maintain system documentation and training materials.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
  • Coordinate activities with team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, leadership teams, and external partners.
  • Travel occasionally for training and support at remote locations as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.

Licensure

  • Active Pharmacist license issued by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required application certifications.

Experience

  • 0–6 months of related experience required.
  • Experience with healthcare applications, pharmacy systems, or clinical workflows is preferred.
