Description:

The Epic Cogito Analyst is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and operational support of Epic reporting and analytics solutions across Behavioral Health and additional organizational divisions. This role partners with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to deliver actionable analytics, regulatory reporting, population health insights, and enterprise reporting optimization within the Epic ecosystem.

 

The analyst will support Reporting Workbench development, analytics governance participation, data validation initiatives, and cross-functional reporting strategies while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and Epic best practices.

 

Duties:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Epic Cogito reporting and analytics solutions across Behavioral Health and other organizational divisions
  • Build and support Epic Reporting Workbench reports, dashboards, templates, filters, and metrics
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting processes, including batch jobs and scheduling configurations
  • Support Epic analytics environments including SlicerDicer and Caboodle-based reporting structures
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across Epic reporting outputs
  • Support user provisioning, security access, and reporting role configuration within Epic environments
  • Lead or contribute to migration of legacy reporting content into Epic analytics platforms
  • Participate in enterprise analytics governance activities, including Analytics Council initiatives
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions
  • Support regulatory and population health reporting initiatives, including HEDIS-related feasibility analysis
  • Develop PHPP reporting assets supporting HIV, STI, and TB federal and state compliance requirements
  • Configure and support In Basket workflows for encounter tracking and operational reporting
  • Serve as SlicerDicer training lead in support of enterprise analytics enablement initiatives
  • Perform Data Gateway and Caboodle CoPilot load validation to ensure reporting accuracy and data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal reporting standards and data governance policies

Skills:

  • Epic Cogito (certification required)
  • Reporting Workbench development (builds, templates, filters, metrics)
  • SlicerDicer configuration, modeling, and reporting
  • Epic Caboodle data warehouse and analytics structures
  • Data Gateway and ETL validation processes
  • Healthcare reporting and clinical/operational analytics
  • Regulatory reporting (HEDIS, public health, federal/state compliance)
  • User security, access controls, and Epic provisioning
  • Data quality assurance, validation, and reconciliation
  • Requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience supporting Epic Cogito reporting environments and analytics solutions
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Reporting Workbench reports and SlicerDicer datasets
  • Experience working with Caboodle and Epic analytics infrastructure
  • Background in healthcare analytics, operational reporting, or population health analytics
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting and compliance-driven data initiatives
  • Exposure to Behavioral Health reporting workflows strongly preferred
  • Experience participating in enterprise reporting governance or analytics councils preferred
  • Familiarity with HEDIS methodologies and population health initiatives preferred
  • Experience with data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting discrepancy resolution

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree or College Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Epic Cogito certification required

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
