Job Details
The Credentialed Epic Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive end-user training and supporting developed materials within the healthcare system. This role involves classroom instruction, strategy assessment, curriculum management, and ongoing technical support to ensure clinical systems training aligns with organizational workflows and excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Training & Curriculum Delivery
Instruction: Conduct end-user training classes in alignment with developed instructional materials.
Material Development: Participate in preparing effective instructional materials, training aids, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids for current courses, new courses, and system updates.
Strategic Assessment: Evaluate EPIC education strategies and measure their overall effectiveness within the clinical care environment.
Train-the-Trainer: Train additional trainers as needed and facilitate comprehensive training onboarding for new hires.
Adult Learning: Keep current on modern training philosophies for adult learners to maximize class engagement and effectiveness.
Environment & Workflow Support
Workflow Mastery: Maintain an in-depth, expert knowledge of operational workflows.
Environment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining current EPIC training environments to ensure high-quality, realistic clinical training experiences for all participants.
Communication: Effectively communicate curriculum updates and training environment issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
Ongoing Support: Provide continuous support, coaching, and remedial training to individual staff members or groups as needed.
Assessments: Administer end-user proficiency assessments to ensure workforce compliance and competency.
Operations, Support & Compliance
24/7 Troubleshooting: Participate in 24/7 problem management support and resolution for clinical systems, which includes both planned and unplanned system downtime support.
Task Management: Maintain and prioritize project lists, department goals, and specialized tasks.
Confidentiality: Strictly promote system security and protect patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Policy Adherence: Fully comply with all MMC/CHS policies, Corporate Compliance, the Joint Commission, and other relevant regulatory agencies.
Culture of Safety: Perform all job functions in adherence to the organization's culture of safety, identifying and communicating potential risks to the department director.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Licensure
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Required: EPIC Training credentialing.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Licensure: None required.
Experience & Skills
One to two years of related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Previous working experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, clinical documentation system, or relevant clinical experience is preferred.
Recent experience working with the EPIC system and a teaching background in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
Proficient Knowledge & Experience Required: Microsoft Office, Windows Operating System, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Visio, EPIC, and Heat Tickets.

Salary Range
USD $90,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
