DescriptionThe Epic Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst is an embedded Revenue Cycle SME responsible for functional support, optimization, and issue resolution across Epic Cadence and Prelude workflows. This role partners closely with Revenue Cycle leadership and IT to align system functionality with operational, regulatory, and financial goals.Key responsibilitiesProvide advanced functional support and configuration guidance for Epic HB, PB, and ClaimsServe as liaison between Revenue Cycle and IT for system issues, enhancements, and initiativesTroubleshoot complex revenue cycle issues across billing, claims, and paymentsSupport professional billing workflows including charge capture, claim edits, and reimbursementDrive optimization initiatives (clean claims, DNFB reduction, denial prevention)Support claims processes, payer rules, and compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/commercial payersAnalyze workflows and align Epic functionality with best practicesDevelop reporting insights using Clarity, Cogito, and CaboodleLead stakeholder sessions, workflow reviews, and end-user trainingRequired skills and qualificationsEpic HD, PB, HB, Resolute, Facility Billing, Hospital Billing, Excel, Payer PortalsOne of the following certifications required: Epic Prelude, Epic Grand CentralBusiness Analysis & Revenue Cycle workflow optimizationData Analytics (SQL, Power BI, Tableau)Epic Reporting Tools (Clarity, Cogito, Caboodle)Revenue Cycle performance improvement (denials, DNFB, reimbursement)Stakeholder engagement & cross-functional collaborationIssue resolution & end-to-end troubleshootingStrong knowledge of end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle operationsExperience with provider-based billing and reimbursement workflowsFamiliarity with payer regulations and compliance requirementsExperience working with Community Connect environmentsStrong communication and advisory/consultative skillsAbility to manage multiple initiatives and complex workflowsExperience LevelExpert LevelJob Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
