Job Description :

• The Epic Web and Service Server Engineer will contribute to developing and applying their technical expertise on the Epic technical team that supports Epic technical infrastructure.
• This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, system performance, and configuration management.
• Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying Epic technologies.
• In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of Epic architecture, as well as hardware and software components.
• This role provides consulting services to the Epic application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of Epic technology standards

Responsibilities :

• Administrative:
  • Complete time management, status reports and task updates as required by management.

• Development/Support:
  • The Epic Web/Service Server Engineer installs, manages, and configures the Epic application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs.
  • Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installing and maintaining the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of your Epic system, applying platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web server components, assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals.
  • Follows vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration.
  • Responsible for creating and updating documentation and maintaining current system details in a centralized knowledge base.
  • Collaborating with technical teams and Epic to ensure proactive support.
  • Maintaining knowledge and testing processes for supporting outstanding issues and tasks such as supporting Business Continuity, retooling emerging technologies, capacity planning, and other Epic application maintenance requirements.

Skills & Qualifications :

• Required Skills & Experience: Three (3) years of direct Epic ECSA experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in information technology with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Three (3) years of progressive responsibilities/experience in one or a combination of the following areas: Web Services, Server Administrator, Systems Engineer, Network Administration. -Understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership and file permissions, file system/volume group configuration, etc.
• Knowledge of PowerShell
• Ability to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful execution of critical maintenance. -Able to exercise independent judgment and take action.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. -Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Familiar with HIPAA and other regulations that impact hospitals and clinics.

• Performance Analytics My ChartCare Everywhere EpicCare Link Hyperspace Client.
• Capacity Management Scripting/Programming VMware Citrix Windows Server Management.
• Preferred Skills & Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Health Care environment.
• Required Education: High School.
• Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree.
• Required Certifications & Licensure: Current Epic ECSA Certification or certification gained within 6 months of employment. One or more Third Party Certifications or certification gained within 6 months of employment. Microsoft MCSA. Microsoft MCP. Microsoft MCTS. Citrix CCA-V. Citrix CCA-N. VMware VCP-DCV.-VMware VCP-DTM. -CompTIA Server+.
