SierTeK Ltd. is seeking an Epidemiologist title to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
Position Overview Section
The Epidemiologist supports the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) Public Health and Readiness (PHR) Directorate by conducting epidemiological surveillance, research, data analysis, and public health investigations that improve the health and operational readiness of Air Force personnel. This position analyzes military health surveillance data, supports outbreak investigations, develops research protocols, and collaborates with military and civilian stakeholders to enhance disease surveillance systems and evidence-based public health initiatives.

Minimum Position Requirements
Master's degree or higher in one of the following:
Public Health
Epidemiology
Biostatistics
Or a closely related field approved by USAFSAM/PHR.
Strong knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, and public health principles.
Experience utilizing public health surveillance systems and the ability to work with:
Disease Reporting System internet (DRSi)
ESSENCE
MHS GENESIS
DOEHRS-HC
Individual Longitudinal Exposure Record (ILER)
Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS)
Envision
Experience using:
SAS
SAS Enterprise Guide
Microsoft Office Suite
Adobe Acrobat
Working knowledge of R and/or Stata.
Experience conducting epidemiological studies and statistical analyses, including:
Descriptive statistics
Measures of association
Statistical significance testing
Predictive and regression modeling
Experience developing research protocols and preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
Ability to complete or maintain required certifications including:
HIPAA Training
Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) Training
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training
Ability to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
