Join the HJF Team!

HJF is seeking an Epidemiologist II to provide epidemiological, computer programming, biostatistical and laboratory procedure support for a specified project.

This position will be in support of USU Department of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Rusiecki.

Ongoing studies in the Rusiecki lab focus on toxic exposures relevant to the military and risk for various chronic diseases, such as brain cancers, pancreatic cancer, Gulf War Illness, and cardiovascular disease. Utilizing extraordinary resources available in the Military Health System, such as large administrative and medical record datasets and banked biospecimens in a huge serum repository, Dr. Rusiecki's studies measure both exposure and biologic pathways relevant to the chronic diseases under study. Exposure assessment is a major part of this work, and ranges from utilization of occupational coding data to biomarker measurements of exposures such as PFAS, persistent organic pollutants, pyrethroids, and plasticizers.
