Description

  • Advises the Director on continuous optimization of the new MilCanEpi interface.
  • Provides advice and suggestions on data processing and consolidation of new MilCanEpi data.
  • Provides advice on research topics, study design, analytic plan, statistical analysis, and epidemiological methods related to the MilCanEpi and PROMETHEUS studies.
  • Advises on result interpretation and manuscript preparation for MilCanEpi studies.
  • At the direction of the Director, performs data analysis, integrating information from different laboratories, surveys, cancer registries and medical records.
  • Interprets results and prepares reports for Director.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

HJF is seeking a Part Time Epidemiologist V to provide epidemiological and biostatistical support.

This position will be in support of the John P. Murtha Cancer Center located at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, in Bethesda, Maryland. The DoW-wide MilCanEpi database is a data system used to conduct oncology research. Cancer epidemiology addresses the significance of population studies for the DoW and DoW beneficiaries.
