EPS comprises the Electric Motor and Propeller assemblies. As an EPS Manufacturing Technician , you will play a hands‑on role in building stators for our electric engines supporting the Midnight aircraft. This position operates in a predominantly manual production environment where strict adherence to work instructions, precision, and attention to detail are critical to success. We're building this line from the ground up, and we want technicians who are curious, ask good questions, and grow with us.What You'll Do:Assemble stators and support electric engine subassemblies — including winding, insulation, impregnation, and mechanical assembly — using manual, semi‑automated, and automated equipmentPartner closely with Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams to support equipment bring‑up, process development, validation activities, and basic fixture or tooling buildsTroubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues across stator builds and testing, contributing to continuous improvement effortsConduct in‑process and final inspections using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, measurement microscopes, etc.)Accurately document build issues, process deviations, inspection results, and manufacturing parameters in real timePerform routine preventative maintenance on production and lab equipmentMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety protocolsWhat You Need:3+ years of hands‑on manufacturing or production experience assembling mechanical and/or electronic components — aerospace, EV, or precision manufacturing backgrounds are a plusDemonstrated ability to follow formal work instructions and accurately document deviations, build records, or process data (experience with Excel or similar tools required)High standards for workmanship, part handling, and quality — you take care of the hardware and you notice when something isn't rightExperience using measurement and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and basic drafting standardsFamiliarity with manufacturing safety protocols (LOTO, arc flash, ESD, etc.) and 5S workplace organizationA collaborative, coachable approach — you ask questions when you're unsure, communicate clearly, and are energized by learning on a new production lineBonus Qualifications:IPC certification or working knowledge of IPC standardsDirect experience with stator winding and insulation processesExperience working with ERP systems such as SAPPlease note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications.At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
