Advertising/Posting Title Equal Opportunity Support Coordinator Posting Summary

The Equal Opportunity Support Coordinator will partner with the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) to ensure university compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws and participate in strategic objectives related to equity, inclusion and diversity.

They will facilitate timely and robust response to equal opportunity and Title IX/sexual misconduct reports in collaboration with the OEO Intake and Outreach Coordinator.

In partnership with key campus partners, they will offer targeted support to impacted individuals when reports are received that do not rise to the level of a university policy violation (e.g. bias concerns).

They will assist with aspects of the Title IX hearing and other OEO resolution processes, carry out OEO-related awareness initiatives to include managing the online employee training system, in-person presentation on OEO-related topics, and curation of the OEO website and other materials, and analyze trends and generate appropriate reports using OEO's case management system.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and two years of experience in a higher education or comparable setting, including experience working directly with individuals on matters relating to discrimination, harassment, and/or student and employee conduct.
  • Knowledge of best practices and requirements of civil rights-related policy and institutional practice- including equal opportunity, bias, sexual harassment and misconduct.
  • Effective communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills relating to these topics.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in an institutional setting.

Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range $62,000 - $64,500 Other Information
