The Equine Operations Technician will work closely with the billing, underwriting and claim teams to service the book of business accurately and efficiently with an emphasis on exceptional customer service to external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
Communicate with policyholders, address questions, resolve problems and maintain rapport
Work cohesively with claims, underwriting, billing, agents and outside vendors as required.
Perform technical claim, billing and underwriting duties to include new claim set up, payment issuance, policy creation, preparing accounts to be modelled and data entry.
Maintain accurate and timely status of files within systems throughout the underwriting and claims life cycle.
Responsible for handling incoming calls from clients regarding policy, claims and billing inquiries during business hours.
Assist with data reporting leveraging available tools such as Power Bi Automate and Excel.
Pursue professional development and training for development of product knowledge, skills for the role and any personal goals set with leader.
Pursue adjuster or agent license.
In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other databases
Strong organization skills
Customer service-focused mindset
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communications skills both verbally and written, adept at conveying information clearly and effectively
Equine industry experience and/or equine knowledge preferred
The expected pay range for the role is $50,000 - $60,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and experiences. The disclosed pay range estimate may also be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
