Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 1 - 3 year preferred (Will train)

Reports to: Regional Equipment Manager

Wage: $28.00 per hour (Based on qualifications and experience)

Job Summary:

An equipment and fleet administrator is not your typical admin position. The Equipment and Fleet Administrator will track, inventory, and keep track of services and inspections on all company vehicles and equipment in the Western region. This position will also assist with permitting for the Western Region heavy haul trucks. Will also assist with reports for mobile machinery decals and vehicle registration. This person will also fill in for scale personell when they are out. The Equipment and Fleet Administrator will be based out of the Sundance Office. It is a full-time position that reports to the Equipment Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use software systems to manage and track vehicles or equipment

  • Monitor equipment locations and make arrangements to move equipment throughout the company

  • Strong knowledge of various types of equipment (redi-mix trucks, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, semi-trailers, aggregate crushers, etc.)

  • Oversee vehicle documents, including permits, DMV registration, and insurance certificates

  • Record any maintenance issues and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns

  • Coordinate vehicle and equipment inspections regularly to comply with safety standards

  • Coordinate field and shop managers to schedule vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and field managers

  • Analyze the equipment utilization and make recommendations to management on requests from the field

  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Detail-oriented and Organized

  • Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.

  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

  • Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

  • Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
